Social media is designed to bring individuals, entertainers, businesses, and celebrities together on one platform to socialize, share, promote, and otherwise have a good time. Many sites provide endless options for fun with family, friends, and people you never imagined you’d meet. It’s a great place to learn information, find new products, watch videos, and explore. But, there are also a few important things to remember when using social media in order to avoid trouble. It is easy to get tangled in trouble without realizing what’s happened if you aren’t careful. Trust me, I learned the hard way.
It was a copyright violation that had me in hot water on Facebook, which happens to hold the lead as the top site of its kind. I post a photo that I’d found online and even gave the photographer credit. I received an angry message from the photographer who demanded the photo be removed or he’d take legal action. I removed the photo, which I would’ve gladly done without the threat of legal action. It was a simple mistake that I didn’t realize that I’d violated. So that is the first thing that I want you to keep in mind when using social media.
Copyright infringement is possible when you share, without prior authorization, copyrighted material not intended to be shared publicly. If there is a YouTube video that you want to share with others, go ahead. There are even share features that make it easy to post the video on many other social media platforms. However, if you visit a website and find a video or a photo, it is not okay to use this and may result in copyright infringement violations on your part. It is simply best to learn where you can and cannot share material from before you begin.
Buying Instagram likes and followers are something that I did, as do many other people. It really helps spread the word of your existence, whether you want new fans or followers or want likes on your pictures. It takes these actions to achieve greatness and to build a name for yourself. However, make sure that you purchase likes and followers only from legitimate companies who sell real followers. Some companies sell bot-generated accounts that could compromise your own accounts. Do not take this type of risk!
The more that you use social networking sites, the easier it is to do so without worry of causing trouble for violating rules that could get you banned from the site, or worse, in legal trouble. Each site has their own specific rules and criteria and some share the same rules. Be sure to read over all of the information before you start. It may seem like a lot of information but it is the details that you need. We all experience some hiccups along the way, especially if marketing and promoting is a part of your life. But, we learn from those mistakes. Use the above information to get a head start on nailing the entire social media experience. You can do this!
